A sunrise, if you dare

It’s the last thing you think to do on your sleep in weekends, but getting up while the cities are still sleeping, making a carafe of coffee and heading out to some place up high can be more invigorating that a nice, long snooze. Crazy, I know. but true. This is the view of Hout Bay we were greeted with from Chappies.

Winter’s white magic

I can still hear the fresh snow crunching beneath my boots. A forest so whipped up in white that not even the undersides of the branches remain stark in bare bark. Was this the calm after a storm? Have you ever noticed how an ordinary twig becomes instantly transformed into a thing of beauty and wonder, just because of a dusting of snow? We got lost in this jagged, white world, my camera and I.

Explore your world and get sand between your toes – it’s no small wonder our best friends love the beach so much. If all else fails, just be as happy to see them as they are to see you.

Cape St Francis Waves

Sometimes its worth being dragged out of bed at the crack of dawn. There’s something quite special about the soft morning light and as was in this case, surprises often await you. Quite unexpectedly, we spent the better part of our morning chilling in the bay at Cape St. Francis, surrounded by a playful pod of dolphins! Unforgettable Joy!
